Experience Seasonal Bounty in the Yamhill Valley

Yamhill County is the perfect place to experience Oregon’s farm-to-table excellence; no other county in Oregon boasts a greater concentration of agricultural bounty and culinary craftsmen. Now in its third year, Bounty of Yamhill County on Sept. 8 celebrates the trifecta of fervent farmers, pioneering wine producers, and masterful chefs.

Enjoy this spectacular feast on a warm summer evening in the picturesque Dundee Hills. In addition to a memorable meal, celebrants will be treated to fabulous live Oregonian musicians. To complete the evening’s experience, an old-fashioned country store (set up just for the evening) offers locally produced gourmet items for purchase. And don’t miss the Wall of Wine, where each participant can take home great wine at a great price. Be sure to examine the VIP tours that are happening in concert with Bounty of the County to fully immerse yourself!

The event is held at Sokol Blosser Winery in Dayton. Purchase tickets at Yamhillenrichmentsociety.org

If a more active harvest celebration is what you have in mind, visit Carlton for the Carlton Crush Harvest Festival: a grape-stomping competition, barrel-rolling race, and watermelon-eating competition give you plenty of ways to immerse yourself in harvest-time fun.

The Carlton Crush is an entire day of harvest activities, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 and running until 6 p.m. All events, as well as parking, are free and take place in downtown Carlton, a small town full of the best wine and food that Oregon has to offer. There will be live music, helicopter rides, a local artists market, and games for kids.
