This Thanksgiving Day event consists of a 5K and 10K this year. It's a beautiful tour around the Ruth Bascom Trail network in the greater Alton Baker Park area; with a new course that crosses the river twice. Many sections of the course are situated right next to the Willamette River with great views. Runners will finish at the same location they started. Minimal elevation gains for this course. Open to runners and walkers of all fitness levels.
Races will be held at Alton Baker Park. 5K or 10K (new). No dogs allowed, due to the nature of how the course lays out on the bike paths and as a courtesy to others. Baby strollers are allowed; however, participants with strollers are asked to start towards the back, or off to the side during the relatively narrow start area.
Event benefits FOOD for Lane County during this great time of need for families in Lane County. Food and canned food products can be donated at FOOD For Lane County in advance, or on race day.
