Held on the last Saturday in February each year, the Celebration brings together Oregon producers both established and up and coming, to share their vision of Oregon Chardonnay. More than 50 wineries participate, making this consumer-focused event one of the region’s largest varietal-specific tastings.
The event began in 2012 as the Oregon Chardonnay Symposium. Founders Paul Durant of Durant Vineyards and Erica Landon of Walter Scott Wines saw the potential for Chardonnay in Oregon and wanted to educate trade and consumers about its unique qualities. In 2015, Paul and Erica entrusted the future of the Symposium to the board of the International Pinot Noir Association (IPNA). New leadership inspired a new name, and the Oregon Chardonnay Celebration was born.
