Wine and Food events in Oregon's Mt. Hood

Growers in Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory are celebrating harvest in a big way this fall. Field & Vine Events, headed by chef-owner Pascal Chureau of Allium Bistro in West Linn, has partnered with Oregon Farm Loop for a farm dinner series in The Territory, complete with the iconic center-field communal table with twinkling candles and glimmering wine glasses. Tour the farm, wine in hand; then relax into seven courses celebrating locally farm-grown produce and wine. There are still several dinners available this year all the way into December.

Fun Festivals

Visit St. Josef's for the Pacific Northwest's original Grapestomping Festival! Enjoy Bavarian music, homemade sausages and kraut, and try your skills at grape stomping in a 10-foot oak barrel that holds the equivalent of 3,200 bottles of wine!

 Farm-to-table cooking

And for an intimate harvest experience, try a new farm-to-table cooking class at The Kitchen at Middleground Farms, a new recreational cooking school located on a family hobby farm in Wilsonville. The Kitchen resides in a refashioned cattle barn, equipped with a modern kitchen and state-of-the-art appliances. A vegetable garden provides stock for the kitchen, as does the family's 15 laying hens and small herd of Nubian dairy goats. Neighboring farms and local artisan producers provide much of the rest.
